Plans and AI Seats
The ObjectOS Cloud plans — Free, Team and Enterprise — the AI seat as the only paid seat, how to upgrade, and where the console shows what your plan leaves out.
ObjectOS Cloud has three plans. The plan belongs to the organization and applies to every one of its environments. Only AI seats are paid for: everyone else in the organization uses and views apps for free.

The AI seat
An AI seat is a member who can build with AI and ask AI about your data — the AI Builder and the in-app assistant. It is the only paid seat. Members without one, viewers, and developers who build through their own AI client over MCP are not charged.
The number of AI seats you buy is a setting of the organization, chosen at checkout and changeable later. It sizes three things:
- the organization's AI allowance, which is per seat (AI Credits and Limits);
- the development environment pool, two plus one per seat (Environments);
- the number of people who can be assigned an AI seat in an environment, where per-person seat assignment is switched on.
Upgrade
Upgrading is done by an owner or admin, from an environment's page: its header, or Settings → Plan and billing.
- Choose Upgrade Plan. The dialog asks for the plan (Team), the billing cycle (monthly, or yearly at $20 per AI seat a month) and the number of AI seats.
- A secure checkout opens in a new tab. The charge is to your organization, not to one environment.
- When the payment completes, the organization's plan changes and every one of its environments picks up the new plan, with no redeploy.
While online payment is not yet open for your organization, the button reads Upgrade to Team and opens Billing instead, where Team's Contact sales button starts the upgrade with us.
Enterprise is sales-assisted: Contact sales on its column of Billing.
See what your plan leaves out
Two places in the console tell you, without a sales page in between:
- Billing compares the three plans side by side, and marks the one you are on with Current plan. Every member can read it; only owners and admins see its buttons.
- An environment's Overview tab has a collapsed line, Features that need a higher plan: N · View. Opening it lists each feature the current plan does not include, with the plan that carries it. Where a locked feature appears elsewhere in the console, it carries a short mark naming its plan, such as Team plan and above, which leads to Billing.
Downgrading
Dropping to a lower plan never deletes data:
- Development environments keep running; Free only refuses creating or restoring one (Environments).
- An environment over the Free storage allowance keeps every byte, stays readable and exportable, and stops taking uploads and imports (Storage and Limits).
- Your own domains are paused, not released, and come back by themselves on a later upgrade (Domains).
Business
Business is a contract option of ObjectOS Enterprise on the hosted service, sold by sales rather than from Billing. On ObjectOS Cloud it adds approval workflows and a 90-day retention window for archived development environments. Its price and what the contract covers are on License & Pricing.
